Trucks bring super-sized art to the streets of Spain

Sometimes the most simple ideas can be powerful levers of change. Driving down the highway or being stuck in city traffic is rarely a visually pleasing experience an art project is about to change that.

With a fleet of specially painted vehicles, the Truck Art Project is bringing some of the Spain’s best known artists out of the galleries and onto the streets. The concept has been brought to life by Spanish entrepreneur Jaime Colsa, an art collector and owner of Palibex, a logistics and transport company. The idea goes back to 2013, but in 2015 the first truck could be revealed. Today more than 20 trucks cover regular commercial routes in Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Toledo, Santander, Bilbao and Ibiza.
