During Game 3 of the NBA Finals 2017, Apple launched their latest ad entirely shot on iPhone.
With narration from astronomer Carl Sagan reading from his book “Pale Blue Dot”, the ad reminds us that our beautiful planet is the only one, we have. Urging us not to take our only home for granted, it sends a strong and important message in a time where superpower countries are opting out of climate agreements, and we’re about two and a half minutes to midnight on the Doomsday Clock.
Let’s take better care of the only home we’ve ever known; Earth!
Narration by Carl Sagan:
“The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. In our obscurity, in all this vastness, there is no hint that help will come from elsewhere to save us from ourselves. The Earth is the only world known so far to harbor life. There is nowhere else, at least in the near future, to which our species could migrate. Like it or not, for the moment the Earth is where we make our stand. It underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the only home we’ve ever known.”
